Below are some tips to properly water a new transplanted tree:
-Water trees thoroughly once a week if there has not been any rain or less than an inch.
-Water should be applied slowly to give the roots time to soak.
-Make sure to apply water to surrounding soil as well and not just one area.
-The best time of day to water is early morning. If you water at night it remains wet overnight and this causes fungus to set in.
-Be sure to water frequently when the trees are actively growing opposed to when they are dormant. Trees are actively growing during early spring and autumn.
